David started as a collector of the stamps of Switzerland some 35 years ago, initially becoming interested when visiting Switzerland for holidays in the 1950’s. That philatelic interest has concentrated entirely on Switzerland throughout and David is still personally a keen collector today.
Over the past three years since the establishment of Helvetia Stamps Ltd, we have continued to improve the range of issues immediately available from a substantial and varied stock covering the period from imperforate through to the modern age.
Our stock is often being added to as and when opportunities arise and we can offer Swiss stamps which perhaps are rarely available from other dealers. Our comprehensive price list has recently been updated and new sections have been added for coil stamps (rollenmarken) and booklet panes.
We are also able to provide complete year sets from 1930 onwards, unmounted mint and fine used. If you are relatively new to Swiss philately, then perhaps a starter pack would be more appropriate and we can offer these at £35 for 500 fine used and £75 for 1000 fine used. If there are any items that you are particularly looking for which are not yet in the price list please do not hesitate to enquire, as for example we are often able to provide a selection of Strubels, early postage dues, varieties and blocks of 4.
You will see that we do not list early issues in unmounted mint condition as they are rarely available from stock and where we have omitted to quote a price for these and later issues, that is not necessarily to say that the stamp is unobtainable but we would be pleased to advise you regarding availability and price. We may be fortunate and have the stamp for you or be able to obtain it relatively quickly. For 19 th Century issues, prices can depend upon centering, whether lightly or heavily mounted mint and so on. Where a price is given for mounted mint stamps issued prior to 1900, this should be regarded as indicative only as prices may vary depending upon quality.
